☆ little tokyo day: junk food, h&m, & purikura ☆

yesterday i went with my family to los angeles~ mainly little tokyo! i hadn't been to little tokyo in a long long time even though it's so close. i wanted to see if anything had changed, and though i know there would be cute stuff to buy (there always is!), i gave myself a restriction LOL (‾⌣‾) but of course i ended up with some stuff. i want to apologize first off for not taking pictures of little tokyo and the shops! my phone was so close to dying!!

my family and i first walked around a bit and then we got ice cream~ it's not the huge towering ice creams you usually see floating around in pics from tokyo but it was still delicious (っ˘ڡ˘ς)  i got a french vanilla in a sugar cone!

after that we went into a very small super market - nijiya market. though it was small it had quite a nice selection of stuff! not as great as mitsuwa but still pretty good and their items weren't very expensive either. they had a really tasty looking section of ready-to-eat japanese food like sushi, curries, etc, but i didn't get any. i wanted to! if i go back, i hope to try some.

i ended up only buying some junk food lol i can't help it, they were all so cute ヽ(;▽;)ノ

aha that kit kat bag is opened because my family couldn't resist and we had to try it!

what catapulted me into buying snacks is when i saw this package! soft oreo cookies with matcha filling. it was on sale for $1.99!!!! that is so cheap!

they come in adorable little packets like this, making it easy to just take some and put in your bag to give to your friends or something~!!

after i took a bite haha. well upon eating it i realized that matcha flavor is not that strong o(╥﹏╥)o you mostly just taste the chocolate part really.. it's quite overwhelming. it's still good, but disappointing because i love matcha flavored anything! i don't think i would repurchase this on taste alone. i rate this cookie a 3/5.

so my aunt saw this and was very perplexed and we bought it. (it was about $4.99) cheescake flavor? okay! but what is up with the baking tray thing?? apparently you can eat this kit kat flavor by itself but kit kat reccomends that you bake it for the true flavor and experience! well, we haven't done that yet. we will! but we couldn't resist trying it because CHEESECAKE IS THE BEST CAKE ヽ(´∇`)ノ

OTL this flaky kit kat makes for an ugly picture lol. well it just looks normal but the taste!! they really managed the cheesecake taste! 〣( ºΔº )〣 i don't know how, but it has the same sort of tangy, sweet taste that a cheesecake has...some how i can taste the crust too. it's a little rich so i can't see myself 'snacking' on it but it's good for a dessert candy. 4.5/5!! i can't wait to bake this ◝(○ ヮ ○)◜

when i saw this it made me laugh. crunky? i think they were going for crunchy but maybe they were trying to avoid copyright infringement because it's incredibly similar to nestle's crunch lol. any way it's matcha flavored and was only $1.49 so i had to get it. OMG it's incredibly good!

it's so pretty! there is a very satisfying crunch to it~ it's pretty simliar to the regular old chocolate crunch bar most of us know, but with a very distinct and strong matcha flavor. it's so addicting! i ate the whole thing in like 5 minutes. this is my favorite of the candy i bought. 5/5!!

(lolwoops i opened the bag before the pic ಥ_ಥ) i only got this because i see this character everywhere and she is so cute. but apparently this candy is pretty popular in japan and kind of an old fashioned favorite. it was really cheap too! $1.99 for this bag.

the packaging is so cute awwww. you don't want to unwrap it. well, it does have true milky flavor, kind of like sweet condensed milk. i like it a lot. it's very chewy and a little hard at first, so don't try and bite it unless you want it stuck to your teeth! it melts in your mouth pretty fast though. 4/5!

i didn't take a pic of the ice cream candy or taste it because i was full at this point LOL. but i've tried the caplico ice cream cone candy before and it's delicious! it somehow really does taste like ice cream, but like in a creamy biscuit way. i'd rate it 5/5. ANYWAYS MOVING ON

i went into a cosplay store that was filled with plushies, wigs, costumes, and best of all: purikura booths!!!! i did purikura with my friends a couple years ago at the only place near me and when i went back a while ago, they were closed down (´;︵;`) why are they so hard to find? so when i saw a ton of booths i lost my mind. i had to try one haha. it was so expensive though. it's ok because i had so much fun! here are the pictures!

ahahhh i look so funny. some of them i think i look cute, some of them are weird/ugly like the cross hands lol. i was just following the poses they recommended because i didn't know how to pose. my family rushed me when i was doing the stickers at the end so i didn't get to decorate as much as i wanted ੨( ・᷄ ︵・᷅ )シ

close up of my two favorite pictures ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ahhh i love purikura. it's cute and enjoyable, idk why!

after little tokyo we went to glendale galleria, which is a large mall. i only really went there because i wanted to see the h&m because when i was in little tokyo, i was wearing these huge platform shoes...and on one of the shoes, the platform fell off!!! so i didn't want to look like a hobbling weirdo, i tore the platform off the other shoe.

i couldn't find any shoe in little tokyo and i knew h&m would have some cute shoes for cheap lol. and i told myself i wouldn't buy any more shoes ughhhhhh lol. but i ended up getting a superduper cute pair of flats and this adorable egg coin pouch. because i love eggs. egg shaped accessories and clothing has seemed to really pop up lately and i am really enjoying that fact, but everything is usually expensive lol *cough cough lookingatyouinuinushop*

so that's why i love h&m so much (ノ﹏ヽ) they always have such cute stuff at great prices

close up on the shoes - it says "#shelfie" lmfao. it's kinda lame but cute too. they're SO comfortable!

ITS SO CUTE OMG AHH

and, after that i went and eat chinese for dinner with my family, and came home and passed out. so that's it for my haul! if you're ever in los angeles i highly recommend you go to tokyo village, they have so much cool stuff nowadays!! that's it for this post~ bai bai ⊂((・▽・))⊃
